The Queensland Government is providing free influenza vaccinations to all residents aged 6 months and over as part of the 2025 Free Flu Vaccination Program.

1 March – 30 September 2025
Who Can Get the Free Flu Shot?
✔️ All Queensland residents aged 6 months and older
✔️ No Medicare required
✔️ Available from GPs, pharmacies, and community clinics
Why Get Vaccinated?
Influenza can be serious. It spreads quickly and can cause severe illness—especially in:
- Young children
- Older adults
- Pregnant women
- People with chronic health conditions
Annual flu shots are your best protection.
💰 Cost & Reimbursement
The vaccine itself is 100% free during the program dates. If you are charged, you can apply for a government reimbursement for the vaccine (not consultation fees).
